A smart start

CARDINIA kinders will share in more than $180,000 to improve playrooms and boost technology.
The State Government on Tuesday 13 October announced successful Children’s Facilities Capital Program grant applicants.
Bayles Preschool will receive a $10,000 Minor Infrastructure Refurbishment Grant – one of 122 handed out to refurbish playgrounds and improve access for children of all abilities.
Families and Children Minister Jenny Mikakos said IT Grants went to 249 kindergartens for new laptops, tablets and other digital hardware.
“These upgrades will create better playrooms, as well as giving our youngest Victorians access to technology that will form part of their education for years to come,” she said.
Cardinia IT Grant recipients included Longwarry Preschool, which received $1037, and Pakenham’s Goodstart Pakenham and Lakeside Children’s Centre, which will each get $1500.
