Truck crash closes road

A man was trapped for a short time after a three-truck collision at the dangerous bend on Healesville-Kooweerup Road, Pakenham South.

A three-truck collision has left about 20 metres of diesel spillage near the dangerous bend in Healesville-Kooweerup Road, south of Pakenham.
Police have closed off the road in both directions between the Princes Freeway and Ballarto Road after the incident, about 2.15pm, near Watson Road, involving two large sand trucks with trailers and a tray truck.
Traffic is being diverted to Soldiers Road and McGregor Road.
VicRoads has advised freeway motorists to avoid the traffic on McGregor Road by exiting via Cardinia Road.
Paramedics assessed two people at the scene but neither required further treatment.
A male driver was trapped for a short time before the door of the truck was removed to free him.
Four CFA vehicles were called to the scene and cleared the road of the spill by 2.30pm.
Traffic is expected to build as peak hour approaches.
