MORE than 100 golfers turned out to a charity golf day in Upper Beaconsfield last week.
Just over $31,000 was raised for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) at the golf day held at Cardinia Beaconhills Golf Links on Friday 18 November.
RFDS Victoria CEO Scott Chapman spoke to guests about the service.
A highlight of the dinner event was a performance by Johnny Daylight Lacey (also known as Johnny Didge) who captured the attention of the audience playing the didgeridoo.
Johnny and some of the golf day organisers have been participants in the RFDS Outback Car Trek, another fund-raiser held annually in outback regions of the country.
He donated artwork which raised $2300 in the auction conducted by Gembrook MP Brad Battin.
