A randomised cross selection of Cardinia residents will be contacted as part of a state-wide survey on local councils.
The Victorian Government’s 2017 Community Satisfaction Survey on local government performance commenced on 1 February, and will continue throughout February and March.
The telephone survey is conducted by JWS Research and National Field Services on behalf of Local Government Victoria in accordance with the guidelines of the Australian Communications and Media Authority.
Cardinia Shire residents will be randomly contacted until the survey receives 400 valid responses.
Calls will be made between 8.30am and 8.30pm on weekdays and between 9am and 5.30pm on weekends, and the researchers may contact residents on the Do Not Call Register as the calls are for market research purposes only.
Cardinia Shire Mayor Brett Owen said the survey helped to see how Cardinia Shire residents think council had performed over the last 12 months.
“This Victorian Government survey provides a snapshot of our community’s current attitudes and opinions about council’s recent performance across a range of areas,” Cr Owen said.
The 2017 survey results will be the first to be considered by the new council and help guide council to plan for future improvements to service delivery.
Participation is voluntary.
