After winning the toss against top side Pakenham Upper/Toomuc Tooradin’s top order batted fairly poorly and could blame poor shot selection for many of the wickets, including several skied shots. Opener Shane Somers made 20 and Joel Mitchell batted nicely for his 22. At 8/91 Matt Burridge (24) and Shane Hook (5 n.o) showed determination to put together a 34-run partnership for the ninth wicket. With only 125 to defend, the Gulls were led by Daniel Quinn who took 3/7 off 11 threatening overs to have the Yabbies 3/26 in reply.
