Great stall of CWA

PAKENHAM’S Country Women’s Association held a successful baking and handicrafts stall at the Yakkerboo Festival on Sunday.
Visitors bought many items including biscuits, soaps and chutneys, and the money raised will go into Pakenham community organisations.
The association held its Association Day last Wednesday, where 34 representatives from seven branches attended.
They came from as far as Rosebud and Noble Park.
The singing talents of Lorraine and Bernadette accompanied by piano accordion were part of the entertainment.
Janine and Peter Southern also gave a demonstration of competition ‘new vogue’ ballroom dancing.
The association’s group president elect Chris Johnson and deputy state president Carol Clay attended, as did Nancee and Harold Taylor, both in their 90s, from Kooweerup.
A sausage sizzle will be held outside Bunnings Pakenham this Saturday to raise more funds for the community.
