Ready for a serve

PAKENHAM’s new $3.5 million tennis centre is now open and serving it up to the community.
The Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre opened its doors on Thursday and will now operate seven days a week.
To accommodate the community’s love of tennis, the centre has 18 floodlit tennis courts, all with Plexicushion Prestige surfacing – the same used at Melbourne Park, the home of the Australian Open.
Venue manager Paul Kleverlaan said there would be a lot on offer for all ages of the community.
The centre will be officially opened by Gembrook MP Tammy Lobato at noon on Sunday 21 March.
The day will include family activities, coaching, showbags, and a free barbecue.
The centre is at Webster Way, Pakenham.
