THE usual number turned up for Berwick Senior Citizens meeting on 23 April.
Members were glad to welcome back their president Isabella Price, and also Hilda Boening.
In hospital are still Isobel Jaeger-Glover and June Murphy.
The club has had no news of Anne Burrows so she must still be there. We hope to see Murray Grad at our next meeting. There were three birthdays called out, but only two were honoured with a song, Ella Matheson and Lorna Bird. Sheila Carter, the third birthday girl, is perhaps on the sick list along with Berrill Elston.
At the meeting, the door prizes went to Lorna Bird and Erika Albert. The meat tray was won by Alice Haynes, and the voucher by Erika Albert. The raffle winners turned out to be Lorna Bird, who won a doll and Ron Giles who won a book.
At the Bingo that followed, the prizes went to Alice Haynes (twice), Josephine Hauroro, Bessie Gould (three times!), Juliet Carrick (twice), Verna Thewlis, and finally Josephine Hauroro and Vera Giles shared the last.
