CHAIRO Christian School students have a bigger and better learning area.
On Friday the school community gathered at the Pakenham campus to officially open the new library, the second stage of Finlay Hall, the language centre and covered walkways at Pakenham, as well as the new hall at the Drouin East campus.
Principal Rob Bray said the school was blessed as a result of the grants it received to assist in the construction of the wonderful facilities.
The library was built with the assistance of the Federal Government through their Capital Grants Program and the State Government through their Upgrade of Needy Non Government Schools.
The second stage of the Finlay Hall, the language centre, the covered walkways and shade area, as well as the Drouin East hall, were funded with grants from the Federal Government’s Building the Education Revolution Program.
“The addition of these buildings will be of great value to our students,” Mr Bray said.
“They are already benefiting from using the language centre and are looking forward to being able to use Finlay Hall again.”
He said students and teachers have enjoyed walking between classes without getting wet on rainy days and enjoying shade in warmer weather.
“As a school community, we are very grateful for the grants made available to help with the buildings needed for our growing school,” he said.
