Margaret Anderson

A MINUTE’S silence was held for a woman sorely missed at last weekend’s footy match between Lang Lang and Catani.
Margaret Anderson passed away on 12 July 2010 after a long battle with cancer. Margaret was a life member of the Lang Lang Football Club and never let her illness slow her down or stop her involvement with the club.
She was well known in the community and was highly involved with the Lang Lang Bowling Club, Lang Lang Football Club, and Lang Lang Netball Club.
Long time friends Jenny Tierney and Judy Prowde said Marg worked tirelessly for the Lang Lang Football Club ladies auxillary from the late 1970s to the 1990s.
Another friend, Marg Motton, said she was a “very strong asset to have in the club”.
She and her husband Ralph raised three children – Kerrie, Mark and Sharyn – who were all sports minded, thanks to their upbringing.
She was a loving grandmother to Daniel, Kelsey, Brent, David and Abbey and was very proud to watch them utilise their sporting talents.
