Shoo-in Smith

IT’S usually a pretty difficult task to take money off the bookies, but one punter saw Ken Smith as a licence to print money.
The TAB had Mr Smith quoted at around $1.60 to win the seat of Bass for the Liberals in last Saturday’s State Election.
Anyone who knows anything about local politics would have realised Labor was never going to pinch Bass from the Coalition.
Armed with that knowledge, the punter swooped on the juicy odds and cleaned up before the price was reeled in to a more realistic $1.30.
Whoever sets the political markets for the TAB shouldn’t be expecting a Christmas bonus this year.
