Pakenham’s firefighters recognised for services

PAKENHAM Fire Brigade’s annual dinner was held on Saturday 20 November at the Cardinia Cultural Centre.
Attended by about 90 members and guests, CFA District 8 operations manager Trevor Owen officially presented the station with its new field command vehicle (FCV).
Bendigo Community Bank Lakeside branch manager Jen Polites and board member Kerry Parker were given a photograph of the FCV in appreciation of their support of the grant which purchased the vehicle.
The Len Marshall award (firefighter of the year) was awarded to secretary Michael Corzelius. Milestone service awards were presented to long-standing members.
Ten year service medals were given to firefighters Brendan Brown, Sean O’Donnell and communications officer Gregg Clutterbuck.
Firefighter Michael Page received a 15 year service medal, brigade member Robert McGregor was given a 35 year service medal and a CFA honorary life membership was awarded to brigade member Rob Goulding. Firefighter Charlie Lansdown received a CFA Outstanding Service award.
