Clowns rule the day

Parents got involved in the fun of circus day too. Shantelle Mottrom and Sharlene McCorriston became clowns for the day with their children Brock Mottrom and Keziah McCorriston. 122892_01

STUDENTS took a break from the classroom to fly through hoops and juggle balls when the grounds at Chairo Christian School became a circus rink last week. On Tuesday 24 June, the school overflowed with clowns, acrobats and ringmasters for Circus Day.
The day was run for the Preps who paraded through the kinder and junior school classrooms to display their creative costumes to other students who also got involved in the fun.
Following this, the students were entertained with a show by Miss Sparkle, and danced along to some of their favourite songs.
After this, the circus people were split into groups for an afternoon of fun activities.
Throughout the morning, children were also able to make clown biscuits, have their faces painted and try their acrobatic skills on the obstacle course. They also tried their hand at juggling and raced around on bikes and scooters, no rain, hail or wind would stop these students from having fun.
