IT was Ladies Day last Thursday and a few local fillies down at the Cardinia Club proved the Spring Carnival is just as much about fashion as it is about the nags. The cheers of Jenny Kristina, centre, for her sister Anita Capuano – who was strutting her stuff on the catwalk during the fashions on the field segment – rivalled the excitement of a punter who’d just backed a Melbourne Cup winner.
