They’re simply the best

The Cardinia Club was judged the state's best.

THE Cardinia Club has been named the Best Family Club in the state at a major hospitality awards night.
It was recognised in the annual Community Clubs Victoria awards held at Sofitel on Collins, winning Best Family Club, from a record number of entries.
Awards are given in recognition of the contributions made by clubs to their members and local communities.
CCV president Leon Wiegard, OAM said some sections of the public were unaware of the extent to which clubs supported their members and local neighbourhoods.
“This was the highest quality of entries we have ever received, confirming that the not-for-profit club sector has raised the bar in hospitality, compliance, governance and responsible serving to meet community demand,” he said.
“The Best Family Club win was made all the more impressive due to the large field of contestants.”
Cardinia Club Operations Manager Brad Ford said the club’s staff was over the moon to win.
“As a community club, our key purpose is to deliver a place where locals can enjoy great food, great value and great entertainment in a family friendly atmosphere,” he said.
“Furthermore, our club provides a diverse range of activities and facilities that cater to a variety of age groups, catering to all members of the family.”
The award is not just based on venue facilities, but analyses all facets of the club offering including menus, atmosphere, membership and services.
