MORE than 120 ladies dressed in their finest attire attended the Inner Wheel Club of Berwick’s annual Oaks Day Ladies’ Luncheon at Clover Cottage Restaurant in Berwick last Thursday.
President Pat McCurdy said the event raised $4500 for cord blood research, beating the $3300 raised last year.
The club presented a Classy Filly award for the best-dressed lady and a Haute Couture award for best hat.
Race day sweeps were conducted by a group of male Rotarians affectionately known as the “Dodgy Brothers”.
