AROUND 100 well-heeled people attended the Cardinia Club’s Oaks Day luncheon last week, which featured an eye-catching fashions on the field event, wine tasting and jewellery displays.
The Pakenham Hotel also had Spring Carnival fever, hosted their own Oaks Day event, which was attended by several Cardinia Shire councillors and featured a glamorous fashion parade.
Central Ward’s Cr George Blenkhorn was awarded the best dressed gent title while Penny Ballantyne was judged best dressed lady, closely followed by 91-year-old Marion Trigg.
