Catholic ethos

FOUNDED in 1997 and situated on 36 acres in rural Tynong, St Thomas Aquinas College is an independent, co-educational Catholic school from Prep to Year 12.
The vision of the college is “to form in each youth the true and perfect Catholic”.
The college is a registered Cambridge International Examination Centre and offers IGCSE studies in Years 9 and 10, as well as VCE subjects in Years 11 and 12.
The college participates in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards programme, musical eisteddfods, local interschool sporting competition, and supports many local community events.
The teaching staff includes priests of the Society of St Pius X and Dominican nuns. The college encourages a profound knowledge and love of the traditional Catholic faith in a family atmosphere motivated by striving for excellence and fraternal charity. Catholic doctrine is taught four times a week and students attend Holy Mass in Latin on a weekly basis. In this way, the college helps to form exceptional citizens, both virtuous and wise.
