Garrad to the limits

Pakenham Auto Club (PAC) member Ray Garrad driving a Peugeot 405 proved too good for the opposition this year, taking first place in Class C of the Group 5 annual awards.
Victorian Motorkhana Championship Round 1 was to be held at Werribee last week, but was washed out. Now Round 2 being run by the PAC at McGregor Road Pakenham on Sunday 1 March will now be the first round for the year so a very large field is expected.
Spectators will experience a wide variety of vehicles competing ranging from PAC member Ian Williams’ BMW through Commodores to Minis, and of course a large contingent of motorkhana special open wheelers will attend.
The next PAC club night is Monday, 2 March with a visit to Con Spadaro’s Master Motor Body Works – members and friends welcome.
The next event at the McGregor Road Complex is on Saturday, 28 February, and is Junior Development Driver Training. Sunday, 1 March will be the rescheduled Victorian Motorkhana Championship with competitors from all over Victoria competing.
