PAKENHAM Hills Primary School celebrated a milestone in style last week.
The school held a special assembly to celebrate its 20th anniversary last Wednesday 29 April.
Students wore specially made hats and were treated to cake to mark the occasion, which was held in the new school gymnasium.
A slide show was prepared for the event, showcasing the development of the school over the past 20 years.
The school was officially opened on 29 April 1995, to cater for the growing population of the area.
Many present had been part of the school since its opening, including original business manager Lois Mahomed and teacher Sue Slattery. Acting principal Lynelle Broekhoff has also been at the school for 18 years.
The assembly marked the beginning of a year of special events to celebrate the milestone, with a specially created committee co-ordinating the celebrations.
