Two jailed over multiple teen rape

TWO men have been jailed over the 2009 multiple rape of a 14-year-old girl in Hallam.
The Age has reported that the Pakenham man and Berwick man had been found guilty in March this year and were sentenced by County Court Judge Frank Gucciardo on Monday.
Daniel Miftode, 26, formerly of Pakenham, and Ross Jurj, 28, formerly of Berwick, had pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of rape.
A jury last March found them both guilty while Jurj was also found guilty of a charge of sexual penetration of a child under 16.
Miftode, who committed more offences, was jailed for six years and nine months with a minimum of four years and three months while Jurj, who had been involved for a shorter time, was sentenced to five years and five months with a minimum of three years and seven months.
