This is why the focus at BUPS is on personalised learning.
The children experience real life learning in the classroom and through programs such as our Garden2Kitchen program, instrumental music program, sport and sustainability focus activities.
Language and mathematics skills underpin everything students do. Besises English, Indonesian is taught.
The school library and reading program fosters a love of reading; the information technology facilities allow students to develop these skills. The extensive visual and performing arts program inspires creativity that is innate to children.
The school proudly celebrates their work at its annual art exhibition and at the annual school production.
Music is enhanced by the instrumental music programme including the school choir as well as the two music soirees each year.
The physical education program includes all students.
The Garden2Kitchen program encompasses all children from Prep to Year 6 where the children learn how to grow, harvest, prepare and share fresh, organic food. Excursions and camps are integral, from Prep to Year 6, to explore the environment and the community.
The school promotes, through the values-based ‘You Can Do It’ program, the building of resilience, resources for happiness and individual strengths.
The house system encourages boys and girls to create friendships beyond their own year levels. The community service and buddies programs enhance the students’ self esteem and student engagement in life-long learning.
The commitment of parents is central to the relationship with their children as together the school and the parents help them flourish.
