Driving a couple crazy

FRIDAY night was an expensive affair for a married couple who were slapped with a number of driving offences issued by Cardinia Highway Patrol.
At 7.40pm on Friday 12 June, highway patrol members detected a suspended 38-year-old driver travelling east on Princess Highway in Berwick.
The Narre Warren South man, an alleged repeat offender, had his car impounded for one month which will cost him over $1000 in fees to get it back.
A short time later, the man’s wife attended the police station to collect her husband.
The woman, a learner driver, came without an accompanying driver or displaying her ‘L’ plates and was issued with three infringement notices.
The couple then caught a taxi home together.
