Charges after home trashed

LONGWARRY and Drouin youths are facing criminal charges over the alleged trashing of a Drouin home over the weekend.
Police alleged about 7pm on Sunday 12 July, the teens, aged 15-18, ransacked a Grandview Close home in Drouin, punching and kicking holes in a number of walls as well as stealing perfume, a mobile phone and cash.
It was also alleged the group of five youths were at the same house the day before, when a 16-year-old boy was assaulted.
He did not suffer any injuries during the incident.
A 15-year-old Longwarry boy has been charged with burglary, theft and criminal damage and has been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
An 18-year-old Drouin man has been charged with assault with a weapon, burglary, theft and criminal damage.
A 15-year-old Drouin girl has been charged with burglary and theft and has been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
Two 16-year-old boys, from Drouin and Longwarry, have been interviewed and released pending further inquiries.
The alleged adult offender has been bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 1 October.
