NETBALL is a family affair for the Bell girls of Kooweerup.
Mum Regina and daughters Dana, Mariah and Alexis all play for the club and will this year all make it into league finals. All three daughters also coach D and E grade netball.
Regina, who travels from Yea to play with the club, said their involvement with the sport began over a decade ago and had remained strong.
“Our involvement with Kooweerup Netball Club began in 2004 when the three girls started playing junior netball.
“I began umpiring for the club and have filled all executive roles on the committee over the years.”
Regina made her League netball debut in 2007 with Kooweerup’s C-grade side, and loves the sport just as much to this day.
“My husband became a major netball convert and we enjoy watching all three daughters play; a special highlight being in 2014 when they all played together in the A grade,” she said.
“At age 55, I still love training and playing, and sharing my three daughters’ passion for netball.”
