Air cover for police arrest

A POLICE helicopter was called in to help officers on the ground to seize a man who was wanted over family violence matters in Pakenham on Thursday 17 September.
The 23-year-old Pakenham man was arrested in the Lakeside Shopping Centre car park around noon over breaching a family violence intervention order and criminal damage charges to a home the previous day.
Pakenham police Senior Sergeant Graeme Stanley said officers called in the Air Wing to help locate the man wanted over the alleged offences.
On Wednesday 16 September, police were called to a domestic dispute at a house in Pakenham.
Upon arriving at the Cunningham Crescent premises, police found a separate man wanted for questioning over a petrol drive off.
Snr Sgt Stanley said the man fled on foot.
Police cordoned off the area and called in the Dog Squad but were unable to locate the man who is still on the run.
