PATRONS at the Cardinia Cultural Centre were double-taking as they flooded into the foyer following a recent performance.
Lining the walls were works of renaissance-style paintings each adorned with a thick, furry moustache.
Venue Manager Mark Fawcett said that the unique pieces were the work of Pakenham artist Annette Slattery.
Annette is the president of the Cardinia Art Society and has developed a unique style which looks at traditional art in a new light.
Mark said that while the exhibition was not specifically planned for Movember, the timing was a welcome co-incidence.
“We’re changing over our artwork very regularly these days, and Annette’s work has been very popular.”
He added that the Cultural Centre would host an event to exhibit and sell the work of local artists in December of this year.
