IT will be much more than exercise when the team from Pakenham Fitness Evolution takes to Toomuc Reserve later this month.
Head trainer Belle McGee said members of the fitness centre jumped at the chance to participate in the Cardinia Relay for Life.
“Everyone has some connection,” she said.
“A lot of our members have been directly affected by cancer, either themselves or their loved ones, and were really keen to get involved when I mentioned it.”
There are currently 10 people from the gym who are registered, with more expected to sign up before the event.
Now focused on fund-raising, the team held a sausage sizzle outside Pakenham Safeway last Saturday and aims to raise $1500 before the event.
“It’s such an important cause to support, and it will be a great team building activity for our members,” Belle said.
“We’re all really looking forward to it.”
