POLICE witnessed bizarre scenes at a Friday night booze bus operation in Lang Lang ending with a male jumping from the front passenger seat of the car onto the bonnet and kicking in the mirrors.
The 18-year-old man allegedly owned the unregistered car being driven by his disqualified mate when they were pulled over by police officers along the South Gippsland Highway after dark on Friday 15 April.
When police told the man his car was going to be impounded, he leapt from the passenger seat, jumped onto the bonnet and began kicking it and kicking the windows.
He was earlier issued with a $758 fine for allowing his friend to drive his unregistered car.
The driver, whose age was unknown, was penalised for driving while disqualified and driving an unregistered vehicle.
Police alleged the men had been drinking but did not show a positive blood alcohol reading when tested by police.
The matter is due to be heard at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
