RICHMOND Football Club’s midfield recruit Adam Marcon and his Tiger team-mate Sam Lloyd visited students at Cockatoo and Emerald primary schools recently.
The pair were part of a group of 17 Richmond players that visited 12 schools across Cardinia Shire on Tuesday 17 May.
Lloyd’s visit came shortly after his goal-after-the-siren heroics on Saturday 14 May.
The 26-year-old’s goal secured the Tigers a one-point win over Sydney at the MCG.
Marcon, 23, who was a physical education and health teacher before the Tigers selected him with pick No. 47 at the 2015 Rookie Draft, ran students through the basics of the game and answered hard-hitting questions.
Meanwhile Brandon Ellis, Liam McBean and Callum Moore spoke to Year 5 and 6 students about sport’s role in reconciliation at Berwick Grammar School.
They also discussed the core values instilled in their club and how they carry these values with them on and off the field.
Players also visited Kooweerup, Pakenham Lakeside, Pakenham Hills, St Gerards, Upper Ferntree Gully and Rosewood Downs primary schools, as well as Chairo Christian School, Pakenham Consolidated School and Maranatha Christian School.
Richmond Football club has recently partnered with Cardinia Shire Council through Aligned Leisure which will manage eight recreation facilities within the shire this year.
