POLICE are continuing to investigate an alleged ramming that saw a teenage girl mowed down by a rival teen’s mum in Berwick.
Reports of physical assault were also made to police following the March incident; however investigators have said those involved have dropped the claims and do not wish to take further action on the matter.
However, police have not dropped their line of inquiry into the alleged ramming in Enterprise Avenue which resulted in the 14-year-old female victim hospitalised at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
It was earlier reported that two teenage girls attacked each other in the street about 7.30pm on Sunday 20 March.
Police told the Gazette one of the girls received minor injuries in the fight.
It was unclear which girl came off worse in the fight or the extent of her injuries, however a short time after it broke up, one of the teens was struck by a car driven by an adult female.
A 38-year-old Pakenham woman allegedly drove her vehicle into the girl as she stood in the street.
The driver was believed to be the mother of one of the feuding teens.
Police said she was thought to be accompanied in the car by another adult female and two teenage girls.
Anyone with information about the collision is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
