No gun in house of booze

POLICE recently descended on a Pakenham house with reported firearm activity – only to uncover those inside the house were under the influence of alcohol, and at least one had a history of false reporting.
Three cars were spotted out the front of the Fallingwater Drive, Pakenham home after 6pm on Wednesday 1 June.
Police revealed they were called to the home as a result of a firearm report, but when they arrived they did not discover the weapon.
Instead, police found three males thought to be affected by alcohol.
Pakenham police Senior Sergeant Graeme Stanley said a physical altercation may have taken place between the men, but no-one was willing to make the report to police.
Sgt Stanley said “some” inside the home had a history of false reporting to police.
