POLICE are investigating after more than a dozen gunshots were fired into a Pakenham tattoo parlour overnight.
Beautiful Body Art owner, Robyn Hansen, 47, from Berwick said she was “horrified” to get the call from the police, and said she did not know anyone who would be out to harm her or her business.
“There is no reason for this to have happened. I have no problems here,” she said.
Police believe 16 shots were fired into the Henry Street tattoo parlour at about 12.35am on Tuesday 20 September.
Neighbours who woke to the sound of gunfire reported seeing two cars, one white and one possibly red, drive from the scene.
Police are yet to confirm whether the shots came from the cars.
Ms Hansen said she had been operating at the site for three-and-a-half years without issue.
“This is my livelihood,” she said.
“Whoever did this is a coward.”
No-one was in the premises at the time of the shooting.
Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
