Brothers rescue crash driver

The motorist is lucky to have escaped serious injury.

A YOUNG motorist has walked away uninjured after her car flipped onto its roof and collided with a parked car in Pakenham.
The driver, believed to be aged in her 20s, was pulled from her car by Narre Warren man Josh Verschaeren and his brother Jason, from Pakenham, who feared the “totalled” vehicle was possibly going to catch fire.
“My brother pulled over and I jumped out. I noticed there was still someone inside and a small amount of smoke coming from somewhere inside the car,” he said.
“I opened the back passenger side door and pulled her out.
“She seemed to be frozen in shock when I opened the door and so I had to yell, ‘quick get out, your car may catch fire’.”
The dramatic crash happened at about 10pm on Wednesday 13 October.
Ambulance Victoria said paramedics assessed the driver at the scene, but she was not taken to hospital.
