PAKENHAM Springs Primary School welcomed hundreds of visitors to its inaugural art expo.
The school gym was adorned with a display of more than 2000 artworks from students across all year levels on Thursday 13 October.
Students were inspired to create self-portraits, still-life drawings, bronzed clay busts, abstract canvases and comical animal models among other artworks.
Artworks incorporated pastels, paints, pencils, chalk, watercolours, textured clay and collage.
Feathers, wool and beads added dimension along with the use of contrast, perspective and other techniques.
A large floor banner was decorated with blue-painted ponds representing each grade, with sea life artworks from each student.
Visitors were serenaded by students performing popular musical numbers.
Pakenham Springs hoped the Art Expo would become an annual celebration in the school calendar.
