Lunch for the Light Horse

Bernie Dingle of the Light Horse and Field Artillery Museum.

A fundraising luncheon is being held to support Nar Nar Goon’s struggling Light Horse and Field Artillery Museum.
Following a number of recent hardships, the museum is facing an uncertain future and needs urgent community support.
The museum focuses of the Australian Army’s reliance on horses in war time and includes many original, unique and priceless artefacts.
Museum curator Bernie Dingle will be a guest speaker and the lunch will also launch the Friends of the Light Horse and Field Artillery Museum group. Membership is by donation, with all proceeds going to the museum.
The luncheon will take place at the Pakenham Cultural Centre on Sunday 12 February at noon.
Tickets are $55 a head and can be purchased either through the Cultural Centre’s booking office on 1300 887 624 or online at www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/ccc.
