The countdown is on to the biggest day on the local racing calendar with the $250,000 Sportsbet Pakenham Cup to be run on Saturday 9 December.
A total of $920,000 in prize money will be up for grabs at PRC’s home track at Tynong.
PRC chief executive Michael Hodge said the club was expecting a huge crowd to attend the second edition of the metropolitan standard raceday.
“Bookings have surpassed last year and as a consequence we’re expecting a bumper crowd to enjoy a great day at the races,” Hodge said.
“We have over 4300 pre-paid admissions and bookings already sold and we recommend that people pre-purchase their tickets online to avoid delays in admission to the track.”
Limited tickets are still available for the Celebrity Marquee and The Rails Precinct Umbrella Package, with a two-for-one special offer available for general admission for the first 150 people to book online today.
