Community meeting for bushfire-affected residents

A meeting for community members impacted by the Bunyip State Park bushfires is being held on Friday 5 April at 6pm at Tonimbuk Hall (1900 Tonimbuk-Gembrook Road), the location of the community bushfire recovery centre.

Representatives from the following agencies have confirmed their attendance at the meeting:

• Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)

• Cardinia Shire Council

• Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP)

• Windermere

• Agriculture Victoria

• Vic Emergency or its contractor to be appointed for clean-up operations

• SP Ausnet

• Melbourne Water

The meeting is an opportunity for people to get the latest recovery information from these agencies.

Questions from the community that were developed at an earlier meeting held last Friday 29 April will also be addressed.

Council is continuing to liaise with the Victorian Government and a number of service and support agencies on matters relating to the recovery, including the clean-up in the bushfire-affected area.

The community bushfire recovery centre is located at 1900 Tonimbuk-Gembrook Road, Tonimbuk.
