Driver gives police false details

Cardinia Highway Patrol Unit members were left shaking their heads following two traffic incidents on Sunday.

The first at 10am after intercepting an unregistered Holden Commodore sedan on Pinnacle Drive, Pakenham.

The 28 year old man and disqualified P2 driver from Pakenham returned a positive oral fluid test and also gave police incorrect details.

His vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1280 and he will be required to attend court later this year for charges of drive while disqualified, state false name and address, use unregistered motor vehicle and drug driving.

The second at 1:30pm on Toomuc Valley Road saw police intercept a Ford Falcon Station Wagon.

The vehicle had a baby in a capsule in the rear seat which was completely unrestrained and was instead resting in the centre back seat.

The 33 year old woman from Pakenham received an infringement notice of $363 and three demerit points.
