The Monash Freeway has reopened following a serious single vehicle crash between Wellington and Springvale Road.
Inbound commuters are being warned to expect delays on the approach.
Investigators believe a silver Holden wagon was travelling inbound when the vehicle has appeared to leave the road, crashing into a pillar about 12.15am this morning.
Four passengers were travelling in the car. All were transported to hospital.
One teenage girl has life threatening injuries while another teenage girl has serious injuries.
The driver, a man in his 40’s and a woman in her 40’s were also taken to hospital.
The exact cause of the crash is being investigated.
