Rotarians give back

Bunyip Newsletter received a cash donation from Bunyip-Garfield Rotary Club.

The Rotary Club of Bunyip-Garfield presented a number of cheques to various community groups on Thursday 15 August.

The annual cheque presentation saw the Garfield Community Garden, Bunyip Newsletter, Bunyip Cemetery Trust, Garfield Newsletter, Tynong Newsletter, Cannibal Creek Pony Club and the Nar Nar Goon Progress Association receive significant donations from Rotary.

The club has also recently handed funds to BlazeAid and Rotary Foundation.

In conjunction with Bunyip Primary School, the club also presented a cheque to Harry Hutchinson from Wheelchairs for Kids.

“Thank you to the representatives from each of the groups for attending at short notice,” Rotary Club of Bunyip-Garfield president John Legione said on the night.

“A special thank you to the two Bunyip Primary School captains for coming along to present a cheque of behalf of the school and the club.
