Bunyip man charged following Mulgrave collision

A 50-year-old Bunyip man has been charged following a collision which left an 18-year-old woman fighting for life.

It’s understood the man allegedly collided with the pedestrian while driving a truck on Police Road in Mulgrave on Thursday 6 February, about 3.15pm.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged the truck driver with dangerous driving causing serious injury and driving while suspended.

He remains in police custody where he’s expected to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday 7 February.

Police have confirmed the victim remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
