Troublesome trio caught

Three men were issued with fines for breaching the coronavirus restrictions after they were caught by police in possession of illicit drugs.

Police from Emerald Police Station sighted a suspicious vehicle parked in an Officer car park with three men on board about 1am on Friday 31 July.

Officers searched the vehicle and discovered quantities of ice, cannabis and GHB.

One of the offenders, a 33-year-old Pakenham man, was already of bail with a curfew condition.

He was subsequently remanded to appear at court.

Another man, a 35-year-old from Boronia, was also on bail with a community corrections order and had other outstanding police matters.

He was also remanded to appear at court.

The last offender, a 33-year-old man from Pakenham, was released pending police enquiries.

All three culprits were issued with penalty notices for breaching the Covid-19 restrictions.
