Emergency services responded to another car accident this morning, after a vehicle crashed on the side of the road along the Princes Highway.

Pakenham SES media officer, Shayne Honey, said that local SES crews had been called out to the accident at about 9.18am on Thursday 13 May.

The crash occurred along the Princes Highway, near the corner of Snell Road in Nar Nar Goon North and involved one vehicle, which had crashed on the side of the road.

The car involved appears to have veered off the road and crashed into some bushes.

Whilst the passenger was able to get out of the vehicle themselves, the driver remained trapped and was later freed by SES at about 9.37am.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson confirmed that paramedics had treated two people at the scene and both patients were taken to Dandenong Hospital via road ambulance.

The spokesperson said that a woman in her 70s had been taken to hospital in a stable condition with upper body injuries, and another woman in her 50s had also been taken to hospital in a stable condition.
