A man has been charged with drug and driving offences after evading police in Pakenham on the evening of Monday 6 September.

A Mercedes Coupe allegedly sped past police on McGregor Road shortly before midnight on Monday and failed to pull over when directed.

The air wing unit tracked the car to an address in Dandenong North where the driver and passenger ran into a house.

The police located the pair hiding in a bedroom and arrested both men.

Two other male occupants of the house were also arrested for drug offences.

The 21-year-old driver was charged with conduct endangering life, unlicensed driving, possessing a drug of dependence, exceeding the prescribed concentration of drugs and other charges.

He was bailed to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates Court on Tuesday 30 November.
