Club stalwart Kate McCowan will celebrate a remarkable achievement on Saturday when she takes to the court for the 400th time for her beloved Pakenham Football Netball Club.

McCowan has been a familiar face at Pakenham for 23 years, since starting her journey in under-13 competition all the way back in 1998.

She has won A and B Grade premierships with the club, played in a multitude of grand finals, and has been club captain for the past two years.

Pakenham prepared the following statement ahead of Kate’s massive achievement on the weekend.

This Saturday, 3 July we celebrate a historical milestone in our netty family, of our Club Captain Kate McCowan celebrating her 400th game.

Kate is an admirable role model of everything you would want in a player.

On court she is fearless, a great competitor, skilled, coachable, a true team player who puts we before me.

Off the court she is always positive, enthusiastic, encouraging, a reliable team and club person, respectful and fiercely loyal. Great attributes for life!

Kate has achieved many awards over her journey and reliably always gives her best for her team and club.

To sum Kate up, she is a true Club Champion!

We are so thrilled to celebrate this incredible achievement with Kate on Saturday and look forward to making it an extremely special day for her.

Congratulations Kate, so very proud of you!
