Casey Fields will play host to AFLW action on Saturday afternoon with Melbourne welcoming St Kilda at 3.10pm.

The undefeated Demons have made a hot start to the season, leading at every break against the Western Bulldogs in round one before holding Richmond at arms-length last week for a 16-point victory to sit fourth on the ladder.

Beaconsfield Junior Football Club graduate and 2021 NAB AFL Rising Star Tyla Hanks is leading a midfield Demons group still containing veteran Karen Paxman and emerging stars in Libby Birch and Lily Mithen.

High-profile recruit Tayla Harris had made an immediate impact for the Demons, kicking three goals in the opening two fixtures and forming a dangerous partnership with fellow forward Kate Hore, who’s averaging two goals and 12 disposals per game.

St Kilda will be looking for their first win of the new competition after losses to Richmond and Collingwood have left them second-last on the ladder.

The unavailability of key players including Dandenong Stingrays product, Tyanna Smith and Georgia Patrikios had made for a difficult beginning to the year, however they finished last week’s clash against Collingwood with a head a steam, outscoring their highly-fancied opponents in the final term.

Tickets for the game are $10 for adults while entry for juniors (those under 18) is free, however juniors must obtain a ticket to the game prior to arrival.

Tickets are not available to purchase the ground.
