Cranbourne Meadows was forced to forfeit its WGCA Premier Division match against Tooradin due to the impact of Covid on its playing numbers.

Due to a newly implemented WGCA rule, both teams will receive six points from the game despite the Rebels forfeiting.

The result has a huge impact on the remainder of the season for both teams.

Tooradin, who was equal ladder-leader with Kooweerup, now slip a half-game off the pace after being denied the chance to improve its win-loss record, and percentage, against a team it dismissed for just 88, and replied with 0/90, back in round five.

Ironically, the Rebels are the big winners from the forfeit, gaining a crucial six points that basically guarantee they won’t be relegated.
