Endeavour Hills was flying high when it quickly accounted for Preston at home on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles quickly dismissed Preston for 45 and chased the measly target in 7.2 overs in double-quick time. Thilakarathna Dilshan was back for the home side after his stint away at the legends tournament. Dilshan was damaging with the ball picking up 3/10 on the Eagles way to a 10-wicket win.

Dandenong Women

Dandenong women had a day they would rather forget when they saw the best of Carlton on Sunday afternoon at Princess Park.

The Panthers were in big trouble when they lost 4/23 losing Chelsea Moscript for zero. Sophie Strickland brought some honour to the scorecard with a late 44 to drive the score to 112.

Carlton never looked troubled on its way to the total. Sophie Reid and Cailin Green got Carlton off to a 62-run lead before losing the first wicket to Emma Gallagher. Carlton went on to lose 3/10 through a tense middle innings but easily collected the victory by six wickets with eight overs to spare.

Catani continued its fight for a finals berth when they hosted Neerim District.

The away side won the toss and elected to bat with Jackson Ward (50) getting the side off to the best possible start on his side’s path to posting 170 off their 40 overs.

Daniel Vela could not have opted for a better day with the ball taking 5/35 off his eight overs, continuing his rise.

Catani started well, but after their first wicket fell it was a downhill spiral losing regular wickets. Vela (31) tried his best with the bat but it wasn’t enough to conjure a result in their favour, Catani losing by 18 runs.

Ellinbank travelled to Drouin as it looked to consolidate a top-two finish, with Matthew Farthing (35) helping steer the away side to 181.

The Drouin chase didn’t go to plan falling to 2/30 quickly and wickets continued to crumble making the hard task almost impossible.

Paul Timewell (37) tried his best to work some late magic but unfortunately he couldn’t do the impossible with Drouin losing by 27 runs.

Western Park was looking to easily account for last place Warragul when they went head-to-head at the Club Hotel Oval.

The Warriors Jack Armour proved his worth when he quickly raced to 72 helping his side to 247 off their 40 overs in a dominant display.

Warragul proved to match for Western as they were trounced by 115 runs. Warragul fans can take a lot away from the match especially Mathew Bow’s 58 not out performance.

Yarragon were too good for Buln Buln. The middle order Panther’s batsman proved too strong for the opposition, with Gamini Kumara (63) and Amal Athulathmudali (66) putting on a 120-partnership and heling the side to 185.

Buln Buln top order batsman Lachlan Jagoe 36 tried his best to help the visitors over the line but struggled to keep partners as they were bundled out for 121.
