[ UPDATE: 5.30pm ] Witness Will Koutsoubos told the Gazette that the red Mazda involved in the crash came off the off-ramp, hit a pole and drove over the middle roundabout. The car then lost control, ricocheted off and hit the bus.
“It’s a roundabout that needs something done about it,” Will said.
“People try to overtake erratically all the time … drivers go from two lanes to one lane too quickly.”
Will said emergency services were on the scene in minutes.
“You can’t praise the emergency services enough. They were unbelievable … 20-30 volunteers here within minutes.
“The amount of money they get paid is worth every cent. If don’t get paid they deserve too.”

A statement from Ambulance Victoria said that paramedics attended a report of a car and bus collision on the Princes Freeway in Officer just before 4pm this afternoon.
A total of six people were treated, they included two adults and four children.
A primary school aged boy with a head injury was flown by Air Ambulance to Royal Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A primary school aged girl with facial injuries was taken by road to Royal Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
A primary school aged girl was taken by road to Dandenong Hospital with no obvious injuries.
A fourth child was assessed at the scene but did not require further treatment.
A man in his twenties who was trapped with an ankle injury was flown by Air Ambulance to The Alfred in a stable condition.
A woman in her forties was taken to Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition.

[ UPDATE: 4.45pm ] Ambulance Victoria reports that a primary school aged girl with facial injuries has been taken to Royal Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
Three children continue to be assessed at the scene, all are stable.
A man in his thirties who was trapped is being treated for an ankle injury.
A woman in her forties is being assessed at the scene.
Air Ambulance are on scene.

[ UPDATE: 4.30pm ] Paramedics were called to a report of a car and a bus collision on the Princes Freeway in Officer just before 4pm this afternoon.
Six people are currently being assessed at the scene including four children.
One child has a facial injury and one child is being treated for a head injury. All children the are stable.
A man in his thirties is trapped with an injury to his ankle.
A woman in her thirties is being assessed at the scene.
Air Ambulance has been dispatched.

Emergency services are on scene at a car crash on the Princes Freeway, Officer.
Police, ambulance, CFA and SES crews were called to the collision about 3.50pm Wednesday.
The Cardinia Road overpass is closed across the Princes due to a collision. VicRoads advises motorists to avoid the area and consider using McGregor or Kooweerup roads as alternative routes.
